Robert Masters

Robert Masters (1879–1967) was a New Zealand politician of the Liberal Party, and a cabinet minister.

He was Minister of Education in the Liberal-Reform coalition Government of New Zealand from 1931 to 1934 as a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council, after being a Minister without Portfolio from 1930 to 1931.

He represented the Taranaki electorate of Stratford from 1919; though the result was declared void in 1920 he won the subsequent by-election.

He was defeated by Edward Walter in 1925. He was later appointed to the New Zealand Legislative Council from 1930 to 1937.

He was awarded a C.M.G. in 1953.
